Edith M. Pugh, 101, passed away October 15, 2020 in Carthage, Missouri.

Edith was born April 27, 1919 in Minden Mines, Missouri to Lincoln Gregg and Jessie Perkins Gregg. Edith was a lifetime area resident and was a School teacher, she taught school for 24 years until her husband went overseas then returned to teaching in 1956 retiring in 1982 teaching for a total of 47 years with 22 of them in Jasper, Missouri.

Edith was united in marriage to Lawrence Pugh April 22, 1942, he preceded her in death April 9, 1969.

Edith is survived by four daughters Becky Elliott and husband Tony of Jasper, MO, Judy Hokanson of Rochelle, IL, Marilyn Meier and husband Don of Lee’s Summit, MO and Joyce Maneval and husband Terry of Jasper, MO, one son Fred Pugh and wife Joy of Parma, OH, fourteen grandchildren , twenty-seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Edit is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers Addison Gregg, William Gregg, Merle Gregg, and Robert Gregg.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Nashville Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Jasper Schools in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
