Cleva Lee Hewig Knight, 90, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on February 6, 1932, in Duenweg, Missouri, to Burk and Bertha Hewig. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and reading the bible.
She married Norman Knight on May 25, 1951 and resided in Carthage with him; he survives.
Along with her husband Norman Knight of the home, Cleva is survived by two sons, Mark Knight and wife Linda of Carl Junction; Doug Knight and wife Glenda of Lamar; son in law Darrell McConnell of Carthage; sister Betty Conway and husband Jerry; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren; and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Denise McConnell; grandson Jordan McConnell; two sisters, Ruby Moore and Erma Sanders.
A funeral service is scheduled for Cleva Knight at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Ulmer Funeral Home. A visitation will be held the evening before from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, December 2, 2022. Burial will follow the service on Saturday at Dudman Springs in Carthage, Missouri.
