Bernie “Dale” Mitchell, 86 passed away Jan. 9, 2020, in Carthage, Mo. He was born Jan. 4, 1934 in Branch, Mo., to Hilda L Simmons and George T Mitchell. Dale moved to Carthage from Fair Grove, Mo. He was self-employed and worked on roofing and was a dump truck driver for Dale Mitchell trucking. Dale served in the united States Airforce from 1953 to 1957.
Dale was united in marriage to Shirley Herzog January 4, 1980 in Hermitage, Mo., she survives.
Dale is survived by four sons; Rodney Mitchell and spouse Becky West Plains, Mo., Todd Mitchell and spouse Shannon Rogersville, Mo., Mike Jefferis and spouse Beverly Carthage, Mo., Mark Jefferis and spouse Jennifer Bolivar, Mo. Grandkids; Rachell Caddell (Tom-spouse) Buffalo, MO, Alissa Garrison (John-spouse) Buffalo, Mo., Chad Graham Florida, Chelsea Kirkpatrick (Kyle-spouse) Ozark, Mo.
Rayna Jefferis Conway, Ark, Shanae Jefferis Springfield, Mo., Cheyenne Lafalier (Dalton-spouse) Bartlett, Kan., Kolton Anderson Springfield, Mo., Quinton Mitchell (Lauren-spouse) Waynesville, Mo., Christopher Mitchell Bolivar, Mo., Beth Mitchell West Plains, Mo., Tadd Mitchell Rogersville, Mo., Shelby Mitchell, Rogersville, Mo. nine great-grandchildren.
One sister; Peggy Kays (husband: Harley- deceased). Preston, Mo. two brothers; Dean Mitchell spouse is Jessie, Preston, Mo., Chester Mitchell spouse is Vicki, Independence, Mo. and many nieces and nephews.
