Alberta Lucille Brust

Alberta Lucille Brust passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, in Jasper, Missouri, at the age of 90. Born on April 4, 1935, in Carthage, Missouri, the daughter of the late Roy and Opal (Hodge) Taylor. Alberta’s life was one marked by spirited joy and a nurturing heart that touched everyone she met.

Alberta graduated from Sarcoxie High School, her professional journey as a beautician allowed her to spread her creative wings, while her role as a caregiver showcased her innate ability to provide comfort and support to those around her.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Brown, and Colleen Brown; sisters, Polly Birsner, and Nova Jean Hill (Larry), brother George Taylor (Helen); seven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Williams; brother, J.R. Taylor; sisters, Fredrica Jones, and Olive Taylor; and two great grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Alberta exemplified what it means to live with an open heart. Her creative flair was not only evident in her professional work but also in the way she approached life’s challenges and celebrations. She was a woman of great spirit, never shying away from an opportunity to bring a smile to someone’s face or to lend a helping hand.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Jasper School Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri. Online condolences may be expressed though www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
