I’m Diggin’ It April 2025 Club Meeting

CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage based I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club met at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Carthage Braum’s for their April monthly meeting.

The club discussed and showcased some of their finds from the previous month. Finds from the previous month are eligible to enter to win a prize, with the winner voted on by the members in attendance.

Category winners for April were:

Civil War: Tom Bayless, Merril Carbine Civil war Bullet

Jewelry: None entered

Nicest Coin: Tom Bayless, 1899 Barber Dime

Oldest Coin: Ambree Hoover, 1896 Indian Head Penny

Relic: Tom Bayless, Vintage Gas Valve

Token: Ambree Hoover, Commercial Bank of Lexington, Mo. Good Luck Token

Toy: David Hoover, Vintage Lead Lion Child’s Toy

Each category winner receives a silver dime as a prize.

Members present were: President Tom Bayless, Treasurer David Hoover, Matt Barrett, Ambree Hoover and Logan Myers.

Due to inclement weather, the club was unable to hunt after the meeting.
