artCentral offers activities and exhibits to celebrate the Valentine holiday

CARTHAGE, Mo. — Need a date-night activity for Valentine’s Day weekend? artCentral will celebrate the season of love with a pop-up Valentine Gallery and Lounge on the Carthage Square, and the opening of the annual Joplin Regional Artists Coalition exhibit, Plant the Seed, at the Hyde House gallery.

The Valentine Gallery and Lounge event will take place at 345 S. Main Street in Carthage, with two time slots available both Friday and Saturday nights.

The Lounge offers candlelight, romantic décor and music, and original art for sale. Refreshments include champagne, specialty drinks, beer, and a dessert charcuterie.

Ticketed time slots are available from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.

General admission is $35/person and includes two drink tickets and desserts.

Three private lounges, seating up to twelve people each, are available at the same time slots for $500 each. This includes two bottles of champagne, dessert charcuterie, and twelve drink tickets. Funds raised from the event will support artCentral operations and programs such as artCamp and after school activities for children.

Tickets for the Lounge and Gallery event are available at bit.ly/artCentralValentineTix.

On Friday, February 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the opening reception for Plant the Seed will take place at artCentral’s Hyde House gallery at 1110 E. 13th Street in Carthage. Admission is free, and light refreshments will be offered.
