CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage based I’m Diggin’ It Metal Detecting Club met at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Carthage Braum’s for their March monthly meeting.
The club discussed some of their finds from the previous months.
Category winners for March were:
Civil War: None entered
Jewelry: Matt Barrett, Vintage Brass Pendant
Nicest Coin: Tom Bayless, 1890 Indian Head Penny
Oldest Coin: Tom Bayless, 1883 Indian Head Penny
Relic: Jarrod Miller, Vintage Anheuser-Busch Match Safe “Vesta” circa 1900
Token: Bill Hawkins, Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield Commemorative Token
Toy: Bill Hawkins, Hot Wheels Corvette
Each category winner receives a silver dime as a prize.
Members present were President Tom Bayless, Treasurer David Hoover, Matt Barrett, Jarrod Miller, Bill Hawkins, Randy Miler, Ambree Hoover and George Pinkley.
After the meeting, members went and hunted around the Carthage area. A good time was had by all.
