Carthage Nazarene’s MARKED Student Ministries is holding a shoe drive fundraiser though the month of October.  They have partnered with Funds2Orgs to gather gently worn, new, and used shoes to be sent to developing countries with limited economic opportunities and job possibilities.

The youth group earns money based on the total weight of shoes collected.  The goal is to send 2,500 pairs of shoes to help families overseas.

“We are excited about our shoe drive,” said Pastor Terrin Garber.  “We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets that they would like to see put to good use. By giving them to the youth, we raise money to help students attend the 2019 Nazarene Youth Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.  It’s a win-win for everyone because these shoes then help families in developing nations.”

Shoes can be dropped off at the Carthage Nazarene office Monday through Friday from 9:00-4:00.  For more information, contact Terrin Garber at (417)358-4265 or email [email protected].
