Jasper County deputies assist with local arrest for U.S. Marshall’s Office in Louisiana

JOPLIN, Mo. — On March 17, 2023, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Jasper County Deputies received information from the U.S. Marshall’s Office in Louisiana that two suspects they were looking for may be at an address in Jasper County.

Deputies obtained a vehicle description and located the vehicle in the area of 898 N. Sunny Slope Ln, Joplin, Mo.

Once at the address, Deputies made contact with the occupants and took two men into custody for felony warrants for Attempted first degree murder (Felony) and Criminal Conspiracy (Felony) from the Vernon Parrish Sheriff’s Office Louisiana.

The two men were identified as Daulton M. Andrews, 26, of Leesville, LA. and Miguel Zarate Guajardo Jr, 18 of Deridder, LA. Both men were transported to the Jasper County Detention Center in Carthage, Mo. Awaiting extradition to Louisiana.

The charges for which the above were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to deter-mine guilt or innocence.
