Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), the sole supplier of blood and plasma to patients at 44 area healthcare facilities, needs blood for local use. The organization reports a less than a three-day supply of most blood types, including type O Positive and O Negative. Blood drives around the CBCO service region serve a vital function in preserving the good health of our community.
CBCO donors provide all the blood for patients at Mercy Hospital – Carthage, as well as dozens of healthcare facilities across the Ozarks. Carthage area residents will have the opportunity to donate at the following location:

Wednesday, November 17 – 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Successful donors will receive a heather grey “Chiefs Kingdom” T-shirt with the familiar red and gold arrowhead logo. The shirt will identify you as a Chiefs fan and proud blood donor. Donors will also be entered to win a pair of premium tickets and a parking pass for the Kansas City Chiefs game vs. Denver on December 5.
