Carthage Chamber Announces Opening of Nominations for 59th Annual Maple Leaf Festival® Grand Marshal

CARTHAGE, Mo. — The Carthage Chamber of Commerce, under the leadership of President Julie Reams, is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 59th Annual Maple Leaf Festival® “A City of Pure Imagination” Grand Marshal.

This distinguished honor celebrates an individual who has made significant contributions to the Carthage community—whether through civic involvement, leadership, volunteerism, or acts of generosity that reflect the spirit and values of our beloved festival.

Both formats collect essential details including the nominee’s name, contact information, a summary of their community-focused achievements, and a statement of why they would make an ideal Grand Marshal.

Important Deadline: All nominations must be submitted by September 12, 2025.

About the Maple Leaf Festival®

Held annually each October since 1966, the Maple Leaf Festival celebrates Carthage’s fall heritage—named for the vibrant maple trees that grace our city. What began as a marching band contest has blossomed into a week-long, community-wide tradition cherished by locals and visitors alike carthagemo.gov.

The Grand Marshal serves as the festival’s honored leader, typically featured in the parade and receiving special recognition during festival events.
