CARTHAGE, Mo. – Carthage R-9 School District is proud to announce that Carthage Intermediate Center Title I Teacher, Sarah Fash, has been named a 2025 McDonald’s Outstanding Educator Award winner.
The McDonald’s Outstanding Educator Award program, now in its sixth year, recognizes teachers who inspire their students, bring innovation to their classrooms, and make a lasting impact in their schools and communities. Since its launch in 2020, the program has honored more than 290 educators across the region, awarding over $48,000 in cash and prizes to celebrate educational excellence.
Mrs. Fash was nominated for her dedication, creativity, and commitment to helping every student succeed. Her passion for teaching and her ability to connect learning to real-world experiences have made her a beloved educator and role model among students and colleagues alike.

The McDonald’s Outstanding Educator program invites community members to nominate deserving K-12 teachers who go above and beyond for their students. Regional winners receive recognition, a cash award, and classroom resources to continue their impactful work.
