A Carthage man has died from injuries in a two-vehicle accident that happened just east of Carthage around 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2006 HHR driven northbound by James E. Robinson, 78, Carthage, struck an unoccupied 2007 Dodge Ram parked in the roadway on County Road 80.
The passenger of the HHR, Terry A. Abernathy, 55, was pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital, Carthage. Robinson was transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin with serious injuries.
