Vision Carthage is a non-profit organization focused on the beautification and revitalization of the Carthage community.
The board applied for and received a grant from the Steadley Foundation to fund a part time Executive Director position for three years. The hiring committee accepted applications through August 9. The committee presented a name to the board of directors of Vision Carthage at its August 21 board meeting. The board unanimously voted to approve Abi Almandinger for the position. The board is excited to have Ms. Almandinger in a leadership position to expand the vision for the possibilities of Carthage. The Executive Director position provides the organization a focus that was previously limited with only volunteer efforts, and an ability to work with the community to develop future projects.
The board looks forward to continuing its focus on enhancing and impacting Carthage.
