SUMMARY:4th Annual Sheep and Goat Field Day Aug. 7
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with Lincoln University and with financial support from NC-SARE\, MU Extension will host the 4th Annual Sheep and Goat Field Day\, which will focus on management-intensive grazing. The field day will be held Aug. 7 at the Southwest Missouri Research\, Extension and Education Center\, 14548 State Rd. H\, Mt. Vernon\, MO 65712. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.\, and the event concludes at 4:30 p.m. \nTopics will include \n\nForage/animal selection\nNutritional management\nParasite control\nEconomics/marketing\nGrazing system layout\, design\, water and fencing\nForage quality and quantity evaluation\nHealth and body condition score evaluation\n\nFor more information or to reserve a booth\, contact the Cedar County MU Extension Center at (417) 276-3313. The deadline to register and pay for a booth is July 15. \nLunch and snacks are included with registration. The conference fee is $30 per person.
