Annual Carthage Boots, Badges & Bandages Blood Drive June 25

First responders from Carthage are uniting with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO), the sole supplier of blood, plasma, and platelets to patients at more than 40 area healthcare facilities, for the annual Carthage Boots, Badges and Bandages Community Challenge Blood Drive.
The blood drive will take place on Wednesday, June 25 at Carthage Memorial Hall, 407 S. Garrison. Drive hours are from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The Boots, Badges and Bandages Blood Drive is a fun event that provides an opportunity for the community to come together to support local patients and honor the everyday heroes who serve and protect us. The fire and police departments are joining forces to emphasize the importance of a stable local blood supply. Their shared goal is to save lives and strengthen the community they proudly serve.
Summer is often a challenging time for blood donations and the local blood supply. “We appreciate the support of our local Fire, Police, and first responders, who understand the importance of a robust local blood supply and host the Boots, Badges and Bandages Community Challenge Blood Drive,” said Belinda Belk, CBCO Blood Drive Consultant. “Your blood donation could save the life of a family member, friend, colleague, or neighbor. Please consider helping us make a difference in the Carthage community.”
All donors will receive a special limited edition, Boots, Badges and Bandages T-shirt and TWO FREE TICKETS to an upcoming Springfield Cardinals game, while supplies last.
To help avoid wait times, appointments are strongly encouraged. Donors can schedule an appointment by calling 417-227-5006 or online at https://www.cbco.org/bootsandbadges/.
Photo identification required. Please eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to the blood drive.
